The Wall Street Journal also covered the bank records story, the exact same one the Bushies are calling the NY Times "traitor" for publishing. The Wall Street Journal gets a pass, only because it's conservative. So this isn't about truth, national security or what is news, it's about Bushies trying to blame the "liberal media" (what's left of it) for telling the American people what's really going on in the White House.

This smacks right back to Nixon trying to kill The Pentagon Papers story and accuse those of leaking it of being "traitors".

The Pentagon Papers, like much of the evidence on Iraq, proved that the president(s) (LBJ and Nixon both) were deliberately lying to the American People in order to escalate and prolong a war they knew was senseless and unwinnable. Bush-Cheney deserve the same fat as Nixon-Agnew, only they are guilty of a lot of other major crimes as well, including cheating to get into power in the first place.
