New D also announced a strategic alliance with BMC today. Both of these news stories pushed the stock higher this morning, then complete idiots sold it off in the late morning and through the afternoon. I view both of these press releases in a very positive light, and the lift to the stock should have been maintained. I'd love to see the rational for selling this thing back to 21 1/4, given that these alliances guarantee that we just became a bigger business. I have not talked to the company yet, so I don't know how the $2.5 million is being paid to ENlighten, but my guess is it will easily be accomplished out of existing cash. For my money, I'd rather see New D buying market share and diversifying, than dumping the excess cash into short-term fixed securities. But then again, I've been telling people since $4 to buy this thing, and only a handful have listened. I guess its true: You can lead a horse to water...
