Latif's Cavern Random Choices Where I'm going next in Boston; Tangierino's.
“It’s part of the Moroccan concept,” Namad explains. “The music, the lights, the food, the hookah…it all works together to create a unique experience.” It's a shisha/hookah Moroccan bar, which should be cool; at least that is according to the Harvard Crimson magazine. At the end of the meal, it is near impossible to leave the warmth of Tangierino’s. Despite the sense of constructed coolness, this Moroccan restaurant still charms. It seems that the best way to find a decent Moroccan restaurant in Boston is simply to smoke it out.

Alone.. on a Friday night.....

Thunder's cackling outside and the rain is pouring outside on Harvard Square, I only have to turn my head backward to see God weeping on my arrival to Cambridge.
I just realised Americans are perhaps the most gifted nation when it comes to small talk, they have the ability to drown out conversation with inanity; i'm a bit hurt, i always thought that was my special societal niche. I'm assimilating very well here, i don't think I'm that lonely yet but I still think that I'm just a bit fazed from it all.
As it's a constant refrain I'm going to stop issuing snap judgements on America, Cambridge and the people; hell I haven't even started yet and I'm anyway too exhausted, it's been a tiring week. Given my notorious love of travel(note sarcastic blinkers on) travelling from London-NY-Boston isn't a journey I look forward to repeating again. Oh why oh why does America have such a miserable transport system! Mon Dieu what a world if Amtrak was like the TGV, hurtling along 150miles per hour.
Anyway High 5. Zack out

Howdy Harvy
It's only been a day that I've been in Cambridge, Massachusets and I'm spending my first night overlooking the town from its only tower; a beautiful view indeed! I've had a funny day shuttling to and fro a few dorms as I wait for my own room to be sorted out by the authorities in charge.
As I was blubbering on to the account manager at my local bank, Harvard certainly belies my impression of a quaint little student town. It doesn't have the grandeur or establishment of a 17th century university, suffering in comparison to Oxbridge.
Other than that it's too soon to tell, I can tell that I'm in the States though since I've started lapsing in French. Americans are almost naive in their generosity, goodwill and earnestness, startling a Londoner as myself who's always just a bit wary of strangers.
Tonight in particular I've run up a lot of debts to the kindness of a few students, particularly that of Rehan Rafay Jamil and his close circle of buddies. Furthermore I am very grateful to have such a good friend only two states, three hour train journey and a phone call away. To steady myself in the isolation of self, which frankly I enjoy so very much, I've been taking advantage that Rj and I share the same mobile network, meaning unlimited talk time.
I'm raring for tomorrow and the weekend, so I can get back into the thick of things. Something in my bones tell me just how suited I am to this curious lifestyle of the American college student.
