It's early days yet on the Abu Ghraib coverup. These things take time to shake out. There's plenty to suggest it happened, and I believe it, even if you don't.

One of the interesting things about this rape case is that the soldier who reported his own involvement felt guilty because two members of his platoon were kidnapped and tortured immediately afterward.

Similarly, nobody was chopping off heads in Iraq until two weeks after the Abu Ghraib photos got out.

What goes around, comes around.
