It wasn't the left who tried to cover it up and pretend it was no big deal, which, I submit, was compounding the atrocity because it wasn't taken seriously and dealt with according to law as soon as it came out. Abu Ghraib was under full investigation immediately by the Army the minute they found out about it! The press piled on and made these events the moral equivalent of the terrorists chopping off heads, and you joined them. Your recall of the event, as evidenced by your statement above, is not in line with the facts, to say the least.
