Ideas are somewhat dimensional, like time. Time can be useful, when associated with events, when recollecting or when projecting. Time does not just exist in your brain. Time is everywhere at once but when we attend to it, we can create a focus that is applied to the specific entity of our attention.

Ideas are always available, existing everywhere at once, without being in a specific locale, or with specific limitations; except or until we find it useful for the sake of our conscious awareness of things, to account for things of the past, the study of things, or in discovery and creativity.

"Ideas are thoughts which are formed from sensory perceptions. You either know where your thoughts come from or you don't.

Ideas have features and we associate those features and functions to other ideas to establish meaningfulness in our experience.

"You don't "discover" ideas. You formulate them. You don't discover pain when a bee stings you.

You formulate, using many things including your knowledge bank of already associated ideas to provide meaningfulness to your experience and it is uniquely individual for that reason. Of course such formulation would interpret cause and effect and some complex labeling, etc. of the type of pain you are experiencing. Some people might instantly experience a variety of emotions and attributions, after being stung by a bee. I spent about a year on a Honey Bee cooperative, so my ideas about the sting would not conclude that the bee is bad, for example.

"Pain is not something floating about waiting for you to run into it. Pain is your interpretation of something when nerve endings are damaged. When you and I experience pain it is

This particular description of pain alludes to the complex interpretation of your experience or mine which would be unique, yours definitely not something that is identical to what I experience having been stung. At the same time you are able to promote the idea of 'pain' which is instantly recognizable to me as in the Platonic Archetypes of form. In the latter sense, you have it, you can pass it on to me, but not merely as an external entity since I simply recognized your(the) idea, even though I am not currently experiencing pain.

NOT THE SAME PAIN. DO YOU GET IT?? … That must have been some good sauce. Either that or I have inadvertently pushed a button... maybe both.
