But after the papers were published, no newspapers were prosecuted. Which suggests to me that the Justice department didn't think the law was actually broken by the NYTimes.

Ellsberg, on the other hand, who was a federal employee, went to prison.

I think this is just raw meat for the true believers to rev them up for the 2006 elections.

I guess this is Plan B.
