The only way to end it,IMO, is for an individual or a group take power and make peace with Israel and work together. Do you know of any Arab countries that would not allow that to happen ?<<

Sdgla -

Well there you go. You've actually named another model that could be used. People could work together for peace.

Too bad nobody is willing to try it. Don't forget that past peace initiatives have been derailed by elements on both sides.

And by the way, the state of Israel was created by a bunch of people from outside that region, and imposed upon the locals. The state was attacked as soon as it was created, and when the dust settled, it had larger borders. This was repeated again in 1967. So the state of Israel as it exists presently, has borders that are in dispute.

It's just possible that if the Israelis had long ago agreed to give up the land captured in the Six Day War, there might have been peace. But we can never know, because they insisted that grabbing all that new land was a necessary part of their self defense.

Again, I will specifically state that I have little sympathy for the Palestinians who continue to call for Israel's destruction and continue to prolong the misery. I just think that the fault doesn't lie on one side only. It rarely does.
