Other than that it's too soon to tell, I can tell that I'm in the States though since I've started lapsing in French. Americans are almost naive in their generosity, goodwill and earnestness, startling a Londoner as myself who's always just a bit wary of strangers. Unfortunately, I'm sure your son will eventually find the exceptions to that rule. But he's hit upon what I believe (or like to believe) is the general American attitude: "No better friends, no worse enemy". Americans like to be open to new visitors and I think most of use are gracious in extending that welcome. But we obviously can get rather hot under the collar when people take advantage of our generosity and spit in our faces... I hope your son has a WONDERFUL TIME and takes away only happy memories and lifetime friendships from his stay in the US. Hawk
