I'm not real sure what Lane's position is on seatbelts, but we might agree. First, let me make it clear, that I think seatbelts are a good thing, and everybody should wear them. That said, I DON'T think there should be any laws requiring their use, except by minors. Same thing with motorcycle helmets. People should have the right to be as stupid as they please, or if they're going 10 MPH to the store next door to the one they just left, they shouldn't be getting tickets for non-use. We don't need some government entity making citation money on such silly things, and we certainly don't need that much governmental interferrence in our daily lives.
