This opens a huge can of worms, the kind I don't like to spend my time on, but I will just mention it in passing. If you consider "safety laws" to be interference, then you have to ask how much guaranteed safety do you want in your food, drink, medications, banking systems, business contracts, advertising and so on and so on. For people on the right, how much interference do they want with sexual and reproductive conduct? Flag burning? Dirty words on TV? Nipples in public? In my experience, both left and right have an agenda of items where they LOVE government interference. They just happen to love their agenda and hate the other side's, for purely arbitrary and emotional reasons.
