Its the principle of the thing that sets me off. SS is INSURANCE not a WELFARE thing. By means testing that would merely ENCOURAGE people NOT to save for their retirement, thinking if they have personal means they will get no return on their FICA payments, which in many cases is as high or nearly as high as their income taxes. jdn
