Q needs to make a bold public move here and acknowledge that it is under attack or something to the effect of "what appears to be a coordinated move" kind of statement. The market would give Q an immediate 10% haircut if it came out with such a statement because it would figure that its management has gone over the bend. What you suggest is exactly what Q shouldn't do. If it does, I'm unloading a big chunk of my position as it would mean that management cannot keep a cool head under pressure. If anything, it should come out with news re: stock repurchases, but the quiet period prohibits this. I'm expecting a stellar quarter. This is a combination of opportunistic blood-in-the-water attacks in which some see an opportunity to reduce costs sauced with the unpredictability of litigation. You don't see many research outfits getting bent out of shape, do you? Exactly the opposite, in fact. The low pre-holiday volume today suggests that the action today is the equivalent of after hours. Relax.
