Volcker cleared the UN leadership, except saying they should have been more vigilant. At fault is not the UN itself, but middleman and the corrupt Saddam government itself. The UN should have policed the situation better, but the total amount Saddam pocketed was a few billion. And what do you expect him to do? He's Saddam after all. He's a pirate.

And if you think what's going on in Iraq now is any less corrupt, you have your head in the sand. It's much more corrupt and now it's the US taxpayers who are getting ripped off.

Where is the 12 billion missing dollars in Iraq and why don't Bushies investigate?

Also, there is a report of a US plane delivering one billion in cash to Kurdistan. Who was that money for and where did it come from?

Why was convicted swindler Chalabi put in charge of the Iraq Oil Minister? Why was Halliburton put in charge of the oilfields after their long record of rule-breaking, skimming and over-charging? And what is the connection of former CEO Cheney to these huge no-bid Halliburton contracts?
