It's funny...I like HP and of the larger companies it's been one I've been eyeing with interest this week. If short-term woes drive the price down so much the better. Unfortunately they may have one more quarter like this so I'd say wait awhile on them. Who knows which way for the "tech sector"? The biggest news may be the accelerating decline (not in the stock price but in the fortunes of ) of Netscape. If everyone's desktop starts up with IE Explorer then it looks like Gates will have succeeded in out-manoeuvring Netscape, which will be rather sad in my opinion. Back to HP: what's not to like (in the long term) with them? They are solid, they pay dividends, and they are the sort of company who can move easily into hardware businesses which are currently benefitting smaller cos. Yes, IOMG, this means you. Maybe not this year, but... Speaking of market ripoffs what are other people's experiences with Nasdaq? On a listed exchange if you put an order in at the bid price and wait (esp. a small order) you will almost always get filled. On Nasdaq it seems you NEVER get a fill that way. Good luck with the options Eric, and taking your time probably is the best thing to do. If I had to guess I'd say somebody is very happy about COS' low price right now and is accumulating quietly as bored shareholders cash out. Anyone ever think a lot of the sellers might be COS employees who had stock & want $$?
