Contrary Investor on Fed manhood:

As soon as the Fed blinks, the high beta trade is going to be back on in full stride. At least that's what the so-called smart money is expecting. And that means oil, the metals, precious metals, emerging markets, etc. Humble question. Are the Fed and their global central banking buddies ready to watch hard assets take off again in price and basically increase the risk of a further need to tighten some months down the road as inflationary pressures will only grow larger? If the Fed continues in its self appointed role as lapdog to the financial markets, that's exactly what's going to happen. Either Bernanke checks into the nearest orthopedic hospital for a new spinal implant, or he better be prepared for the markets to whip him and the other Fed members around like rag dolls. At least as of the end of last week, the levered financial markets have once again shown the Fed just who's calling the shots.
