jttmab and Sun Tzu,

If you guys have time at some point to share your thoughts on education, I'd be very interested. We need to have a minimum set of skills to continue the "science and innovation" in the US and the world.

I was listening to John Taylor Gatto discuss public education on NPR some time ago. He suggested that we needed to engage students in critical debate and hone writing skills so that a person could be persuasive during public speaking and in written correspondences. This talk woke me up about the styles of education, and how we might improve things in the US.

I find that I know too few people, in and out of work, who use critical thinking in their day to day lives.

BTW, I’ve enjoyed both of your posts on FADG.
