The recent barrages are just confirmation of the increasing importance of CDMA and WCDMA.

As a aside, the comparitive lack of "SIM card" usage by CDMA carriers is a fatal flaw for CDMA. Otherwise, more phones would be sold, and people would be more likely to buy or upgrade to new phones and try new services. The US wireless landscape is a wasteland.
