The Palestinian suicide bombers are called terrorists. Are their victims, the Israeli populace, "terrorized"

Perhaps you haven't seen any of the recordings of people a short time after an explosion. The terror and confusion is more than obvious. Your comfortable retrospective is an illusion you have created in your easy chair.

Terror, like all violence and most traumatic events does fade fast for those far removed from the seen. Those nearby are impacted quite differently. They are either dead or maimed and frequently suffer long term pathologies directly related to the event.

Your cool assessment of how a population reacts may have much to do with a disconnect to events. Because you or your neighbor don't seem concerned at the moment, doesn't mean you wouldn't produce bags of trouser chilly if a bomb went off in your presence. Maybe you will never know that and hopefully you won't, however, terrorist acts have a devastating affect on people. For you, it has simply desensitized you to the television images. To others, it can and is a lasting memory and a fear that is only fools deny.
