In fact I heard that one rather high-ranking Nokia executive had commented Qualcomm's Flarion acquisition by saying just "We're not interested in proprietary technologies, we had no interest what so ever in the company". I suppose that comment was an honest one, USD600m would have been no problem for Nokia.
