You mean back then when women were expected to be reading the appropriate magazines on how to be better wifes and home makers? Of back then way before a hint of civil rights for non-whites. Geez what ignorant bastards, nostalgia can give you that warm and fuzzy feeling, but I doubt 2/3 of the nation really thinks those times were so noble and idealistic. 90% of the media would not be thinking so kind of the American way of the 40's with the way the press would have been treated then had they pulled the same seditious acts as they have now.
