You don't see good guys versus bad guys as a moral crusade.

If you look at it that way, then everything is a moral crusade because "we," whoever that may be in any given scenario, are always the good guys and our opponents the bad guys. Just watch any football game. And if everything is a moral crusade, then nothing is. It seems to me that you have to be directly fighting competing values before you get a moral crusade. If one competitor were trying to get to the moon to find a cure for global warming and the other were trying to get there to knock it out of the sky to facilitate night crime, then we'd have a moral crusade.
