First off, it is a very good question.

Now for my answer, I would look at this way. If they find WMDs buried in the sands in Syria, then I would say that by attacking Iraq, the US attacked the wrong country. Instead the US should have attacked Syria.

If we capture or kill Osama then it would quieten critics who allege that the Bush family have a special relationship with the Saudi royals. Furthermore, BUsh has proclaimed that it is he who is leading and fighting the war on terror. Two years ago, we all agreed and said in one voice (Congress included) that Osama was the "Queen bee" of the terrorists' den. Today, Bush is acknowledging that his war on terrorism has given rise to several terrorists who are of the same calibre or even better than Osama.

Is this what Bush's war on terrorism all about, breed more terrorists who are equally or more dangerous than what we started out with?
