I would like to suggest that everyone read Bill Bennett's new book, "America, The Last Best Hope". I am finding the book entertaining and filled with information that add breadth and depth to the people and events we studied in School. It is clear that through out the first 400 years of exploration, settlement and the evolution of our government that there was an overiding theme and direction of doing the right thing. The world recognized it and flocked to our country to be a part of it. There are many great people and when there were failures of leadership that allowed events to spiral out of control that jeopardized the concept of liberty and justice for all the people of America elected new leaders who helped make it right. You will find the sections of the book that provide light to the founders' lives particularly interesting and illuminating. America,the Last Best Hope. True then and still true today. For those that are cynical about the current events, read it, and you will see America today in a much better light than you ever thought possible. Sunny
