When the boys were little, they and a neighbor friend disappeared. The last we had seen them was around a large drainage pipe. After half an hour, we called the police. Firetrucks, ambulance, police all arrived, along with most of the neighborhood.

We were all standing around the entrance to this huge opening, the neighbor and I holding hands and crying, when I felt a pull on my shirt. "What's going on, Mommy?"

They had been playing out back.

I am very glad THAT didn't make the papers.
