Lim, I'm not sure what the exact effect will be but it won't be good. I think that everyone is concentrating too much on NOK. Don't forget all this BS started when the license negotiations broke down between BRCM and Q. BRCM was the lead in the EU complaint and everything else followed including the latest salvo in Korea.

The ITC attorny finding for BRCM regarding infringement by Q is very concerning. If BRCM loses it only effects 10% of their sales, if Q loses it effects 90% of their products sold. Clearly Q has everything to lose here while BRCM who has very little market share in basebands has little or nothing to lose. At worse case scenario if BRCM loses they throw in the towel and sign the contract Q offered them and they are no worse off. On the other hand if Q loses they either have to make concessions to which everybody else will want or continue on in this messy war with the ITC verdict hanging over their heads and stock price.

I think BRCM is the key, if Q can take BRCM out then the rest will have a chance of simmering down. NOK has to settle as much if not more than Q. The EU thing although in the short term will be a nasty blow to the stock will take years to settle and the stock in the meantime will have a chance to recover. I don't see how the stock recovers from a BRCM victory unless Q announces they have a workaround.
