The Times would have published no matter who was president.

I do not share your certainty on that issue....and I have not made up my own mind as to whether the publication was something whch should not have happened. Frankly,I think my own opinion tends to lean toward rooting out the bums in the CIA, State Dept., etc. who are trying to undermine the President's war effort as there is too much danger in inhibiting the press.
