I'm puzzled by how strongly the president stated his position earlier....it was made clear that it was not negotiable. The rest of the party was to come to his guest worker program and potential amnesty... The senate seemed closer to the president. Now, if the early reports are true, this could really screw up the negotiations on getting some kind of bill passed....I would imagine some members of the Senate will not be happy and they will see it as a "flip-flop" (whatever that is anyway).

With NK lobbing missiles, I know this is not quite the top story, but could have longer term effects....depending on what we finally do as a nation on immigration.

Right now, I don't know where the administration stands...
