How much CO2 reduction is enough? Let's have a goal in mind, not just "every little bit helps."

Should we stop all fossil-fueled electrical production? Should we take all private vehicles off the road unless they have a government permit to drive? Maybe we should go back to an agrarian society and shut down all factories? Outlaw air conditioning? Stop interstate trucking?

C'mon now, how much is enough? If everyone just recycles one aluminum can, is that enough? How about if everyone goes to WalMart instead of going to three different stores to get what they need? Would that be enough?

So, how much is enough? Should we destroy our economy to prevent destroying civilization? What if this really is just a bunch of Chicken Little nonsense? What would our grandkids say about that?
