Lucas Energy Announces Appointment of R. Gordon Jones, CPA As CFO and Director
Lucas Energy, Inc. has announced the appointment of Gordon Jones to the position of Chief Financial Officer. Jones, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), brings 28 years of financial and Oil & Gas industry auditing experience to his new role as CFO. Prior to his appointment as CFO, Jones served as a founding member of J&J Consultants LLC, which consults to small public and private companies on accounting and income tax issues. J&J Consultants aids its clients in the compliance with governmental regulations and in their preparation of financial statements that are in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). From 1983 to 2000, Jones owned a CPA firm, Jones, Jensen & Company, which specialized in auditing small- and medium-sized publicly traded companies, including those in the Oil & Gas and Mining industries. “I am pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in the growth and development of Lucas Energy as an emerging player in the energy market”, said Jones upon his appointment. “We are delighted to add another professional of high caliber to our company”, added James Cerna, CEO. “Our board of directors now includes individuals that hold important professional designations including Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), CPA and Certified Geophysicist.” |
