Anyone else help here? I don't think Qualcomm has got the patents in rake receiver (although could be wrong), the technique was known before they got IS-95 working. Remember CDMA was used by the military since the 1960s (GSM is not an older technology!!!). Qualcomm made it work as a cellular system - the two techniques above were what they really cracked.
