Perhaps but GTFO is not a valid option. I know that more americans will die in my timetable approach than yours but i accept that because our departure needs to be done in a way that gives the current iraqi regime the best chance of success, even if the odds are low. What we can do to preserve american lives is to back away from combat and move our soldiers to protected enclaves where they will be use only when there is a real target and direct threat.
I was for this war and will feel bad about this for the rest of my life but i will feel worse if we dont give the iraqis a chance for success and if it is seen by the world that bin laden is right and we are a cut and run nation as in somalia.
