Can't find diddly on safety data in rat models (other animals are used, but not commonly). Did find another privately owned competitor that is making big claims: coremedusa.com But so far it has attracted only Asian companies for further development. Looking through their abstracts, I see all sorts of efficacy data, and no safety data. Sigh. FWIW, a small extension study followed ~230 patients for four years on Exubera. Results were benign. Nektar also has animal efficacy data. But again, long term safety data is conspicuously lacking. nektar.com Cheers, Tuck
