Whispers concerning the birth and then developing DSP technology have been circulating for more several years. TI seems to be saying that it's time to bring DSP technology into the forefront and quickly. They seem to be saying that to make both the technology and TI the hands down leader that they need the help of others and they are willing to ante up a bunch of bucks to make it happen.

As a long time holder of SSPIF it sure would be nice if they were one of the companies that received money but also the market recognition from TI acknowledging Spectrum as a major player with the big boys. One can only speculate, however Barry Jinks made some strong statements earlier in the year supporting the TI effort as did TI . In addition to Spectrum, can we speculate on what other companies would benefit? I beleieve I saw a number somewhere that of the 60 million projected for SSPIF next year, 40% of the revenue would come from one family of products which support TI. 24 million Canadian is nice for SSPIF however the overall projections for DSP technology is hugh. I want to sink a few bucks into others in the field. Any favorites?
