We shouldn't expect it to be too easy and for all bottoms to look alike. I do this bulls over bulls plus bears sentiment chart. I sent it to everyone on my free mailing lists a few days ago and it clearly shows a major spike and the start of a recovery. If you go just by this, then the next bull run should compare to those off 2002 and 1998 bottoms... If you look at my put/call moving average charts, the bearish sentiment measured on a three month moving average is now making a double top... and starting to turn down... A very few of us think this COULD be the rally that takes out 2000 highs for most companies that don't outright cheat their investors with options scams. I think many of my Telecom stocks have the potential to return to IPO levels and maybe even their 2000 highs... but only the quality ones just like semiconductors... that is I think people will avoid the scams.. until the very end when they only buy what has not gone up... which could signal the time to get out.

of course... maybe the bears are right and the economy is terrible and all those help wanted signs I've seen are fakes and my girlfriend's bank that can't find people willing to work for low wages and stay at the job... are lies.
