I also had an account with Rick Rule's firm in the early 90's and had the same experience you did. After hours of DD and phone calls I put in a order for Ultra Petroleum and was warned that Rick advised against buying UP due to concerns about management. Fortunately I bought anyway and the rest is history. In this case buy and hold paid of big time but this was the exception instead of the RULE. Currently CLL is the only stock in my portfolio held over 6 months. The internet gives us so much information that a discount broker is all that's necessary. Keith
