Whether the quip was on the money or not was not the point. Your Limbaughesque godless liberal comment was what I was pointing to.

Thanks for admitting my comment was accurate. Accordingly, I continue to think there is nothing wrong in saying accurate things.

Re. my comment that I'm generally opposed to torture but would be very tempted to do so "if I were in the unlikely and extremely position of having custody of someone who could save lives by talking". As I said, "I don't know what I'd do to get that person to talk."

You are a selective Christian

Thank you. I realize that you are the judge of my morality (that was sarcasm - I don't think you are my judge, though you do).

But you have a point. Jesus was perfect. I'm not. (PS -neither is anyone else - including you) I'm not even close to being like Jesus. If being exactly like Jesus is a requirement for being a Christian, then I am not one. And I will go further and say that the world has no Christians at all in it.

In fact, my statement that I'd be tempted to torture someone were I in the unlikely hypothetical situation I described earlier where it meant saving lives - that isn't by any measure my primary moral failing.

BTW, if you were "in the unlikely and extremely position of having custody of someone who could save lives by talking", what do you think you'd do?
