The issue with gay rightwingers is hypocrisy, not that they're gay. I could care less what a politician does in his bedroom so long as it's legal, he's honest and he does a good job fixing our problems, not selling us out to lobbyists and corporate criminals. When a gay (closeted) rightwing politician makes his bones by gay-baiting and ranting against gay marriage, that is the worst type of hypocrisy. Karl Rove is one who is guilty of this. There are many others as well.
