Decreasing liquidity is likely bad for the miners.
You can see it right now as they overperform on up days and underperform on down days.

The question is whether or not this pattern continues.
Just as gold decoupled from the US$ it may decouple from this.

I suspect at some point it will but it is hard to say what that point is. More interesting to me was Friday's action of bonds up big and the market was down substantially.

Does bad news finally matter?
Perhaps all new may be bad for a while.

I suspect the pause and perhaps even the first couple of cuts will be "sell the news" events for the stock market but not for gold.
