Co2 emissions standards" Expression does not make any sense>

Perhaps not, and you may be talking to the wrong guy for information. I'm not a scientist and even an educated layman about the nuances, terminology (expressions) or correct word order of the compounds that cause auto combustion pollution and global warming (with the later, I thought mostly CO2, according to Gore).

At any rate, just view Gore's movie, he goes into some length and detail talking about "certain" CO2 related US emissions (I thought he used the word standards, but maybe not?). He had charts (which I looked for and couldn't find online) comparing the US with others. Gore also mentioned that California was putting in tougher standards that would bring them up to China's level and were being sued by the automakers.
