TagStar and Magellan cooperate on PJM inlays
4 Jul 2006

TagStar Systems has developed a new series of 13.56 MHz smart inlays for PJM (Phase Jitter Modulation) technology complying with ISO 18000 Part 3 Mode 2. Available in various dimensions and formats, the high-speed inlays are produced using TagStar's proprietary mass-production processes. The company says it aims to provide PJM smart inlays for the steadily growing alliance of users employing PJM technology in a range of applications. The company claims that Magellan's PJM technology is over ten times faster than many existing HF RFID technologies, and allows for the stacking of RFID labels (in fact, optimized for applications where many hundreds of tags are stacked tightly or need to be identified in any orientation).

TagStar & Magellan in Volume Production of High-speed Inlays

TagStar Systems, a manufacturer
of 13.56MHz High Frequency (HF)
RFID inlays and a long term partner
of Magellan Technology Pty Ltd., has
developed a new series of 13.56 MHz
smart inlays for the PJM (Phase Jitter
Modulation) Technology complying
to ISO/EIC 18000 Part 3 Mode 2.

Available in various dimensions and
formats, these high-speed RFID inlays
are produced using TagStar’s mass
production processes in compliance
with stringent quality standards.

TagStar aims to provide PJM smart
inlays for the steadily growing alliance
of users employing PJM technology in
a range of applications.

Magellan’s PJM technology is more
than 10 times faster than other existing
HF RFID technologies and is the
only technology which allows for the
stacking of RFID labels. PJM products
are optimized for applications where
many hundreds of tags are stacked
tightly or need to be identified reliably
in dynamic situations where tags
are presented in all orientations, as
it is required for pharmaceuticals,
document management, medical,
casino gaming and jewelry tracking.

TagStar joined Magellan’s TeamPJM
partner program in March 2005. Since
this time TagStar has been working
very closely with Magellan Technology
to develop and produce a range of
smart inlays based on recyclable
aluminum antenna materials. TagStar’s
PJM inlays are available through
Magellan Technology’s sales channels
at this time.
