There is no "side" hoping for the terrorist to win- save for some idiots like the kid that went over to join Al Qaeda. Disagreeing with Bush's methods is NOT wanting the terrorists to win, it is wanting the terrorists to lose, but without committing illegalities, or other improprieties against the republic. Folks who criticize the NY TImes can very well argue about their judgment, wrt to how they weigh these factors (how the war on terror should be fought)- but disagreeing over tactics is not the same as being on the side of the enemy.
