That's a road that history tells us we don't want to think about going down, given how flawed mortals typically end up screwing that up in horrific fashion.

As for the WOT, if it has no conceivable end, then it's a bizarre Orwellian construct that deserves critical scrutiny before it becomes an unquestioned fixture in our society. Like E said, questioning it does not equate with wanting to undermine it.
