Kerry never took part in any radical anti-war efforts. It's all in the final FBI surveillance report on Kerry which Nixon ordered. Their final report was that Kerry was a moderate who followed the law and never took in any of the more radical protests. In fact he quit the VVAW because of some of the radical types in that organization.

Kerry's protests were not only serious and heartfelt, but extremely effective and respected. Nixon took them so seriously he feared Kerry would turn into a major democratic leader. Which indeed he did. That's why Nixon ordered dirty tricks chief Colson and his bunboy John O'Neill to "destroy him!" and got the FBI to watch Kerry and search his record for any specks of dirt. They never found a thing on Kerry because it didn't exist. Kerry was always true, blue, honest and right.
