Well, I am. Besides the 2 billion or so Muslims living in the rest of the world, we've got 10 MILLION living right here in the USA.

And 290 million other people.

Most of the muslims in the US are here because they are SICK of the BS they find in their homelands.

But, of course, we're going to continue to see exceptions to that rule pop up in the news.

But we cannot alienate the entire Muslim community in the US by going on a witchhunt.

What we face is a information campaign to encourage American muslims to recognize that these Jihadists have hijacked their religion and it's incumbent upon them to assist in uncovering them..

What's to say that fundamentalists don't overthrow the Saudi Regime or one of the other very cash rich fiefdoms over there?

That's been the entire basis of my argument on these threads. I despise the Saudi totalitarianism and they need to reform their government to be more inclusive and stop coddling the fundamentalists who are inciting the militants.

But for the moment, I really have no desire to see them overthrown and replaced with a Jihadist minded populist government.

For now, the Saudis are the lesser of two evils. And Iraq is going to wind putting pressure upon them eventually to follow their reforms and implement democracy. That's the whole point of the excercise.. to create a foothold of democracy in the Mid-East that other Arab peoples can look towward and say.. Yeah.. those fundamentalists fought hard and dirty, but they lost. And if they lost, then it must be "the will of Allah" for our regimes to fight the Jihadists.

It sounds strange, but the fatalism of the Arab mind is amazing with regard to putting credit to Allah for everything that happens in their lives.
