I don't see how the federal anti-trust laws would apply to Wal-Mart. The individual states and local communities are the real battlegrounds. To date, Chicago has successfully kept Wal-Mart out of the city, though stores continue to pop up in the suburbs.

I think that Wal-Mart will evolve into a better corporate citizen over time. In the last couple of years they have been taking a few tentative steps in that direction. Unfortunately, nothing happens overnight.

Where are the unions when you need them?
