It is not the US's duty to prevent other nations from having WMDs. The US is not the world's policeforce AND the US is in no position to do this anyway.

The world went over the edge when nuclear weapons were developed, the genie came outta the bottle and it's up to politics, diplomacy and some fast footwork to contain what can be contained. Why should the US attack Syria and/or Lebanon? What threat to they present TO US.

I'm saying that your argument is absurd.

Should we have attacked Israel when it became apparent to the entire world that they are bristling with nukes? If anyone is actually LIKELY to use them, it's Israel which is in an actual shooting war...again.

If NK has a nuke that it can put on a missile and shoot at Seattle then we will go to war with them if Japan doesn't attack them first. I think it's a pretty interesting proposition that Japan renounce its constitution and become an offensive military again. That's probably more trouble than the region needs.

Of course the Dems are better at nonproliferation. After all THE REPUBLICANS outted a CIA agent working on...NONPROLIFERATION. After all, under Dubyette, NK has quadrupled the number of warheads it has.

Libya has been negotiating for a decade WITH THE UK over Lockerbee because Libya wants and needs western oil companies to bring cash into the country. Dubyette takes credit for things he had no hand in....he's a cheater.

Unlike Republicans, most Democrats understand how stupid Vietnam was. Unlike Dubyette and his lying minions, Johnson stepped down. Unlike you, I'm interested in what people do and Clinton blew on Nafta and on the Telecomm Bill. Clinton's fault lay in that he wasted his popularity on crap like that instead of things like universal healthcare. Dubyette's fault is that he's a sociopath.

Gee. Your analysis blows.
