Re. the latter part of your comment ... "but how many true Christians do you know?? With the exception of MOST clerics we are all in many aspects hypocrites." That doesn't nullify the first part in which you say "to be a Christian requires a comment to pacifism."

In fact, it doesn't.

Seeing as our whole discussion on this matter stemmed from your defending Cheney's lobbying for a CIA exemption from McCain's anti torture bill as being an arguable issue morally (post # 190335) one might assume that political ideology is an integral part of our discussion?

Again, political idealogy has nothing to do with it. A few days ago I quoted a statement Gore made to Clinton after hearing Clinton give him a review of a discussion on their illegal rendition policy which involved kidnapping terror suspects in places like Europe and sending them to friendly mideastern countries (see PDD 39), "That's a no-brainer. Of course it's a violation of international law, that's why it's a covert action. The guy is a terrorist. Go grab his ass."

Now I think the Clinton administration's renditions and Gore's approval of them are also arguable morally. As you can see, my political idealogy or partisanship has nothing to do with it.
