The soldiers who have been charged with rape and murder might understandably have believed that since the President of the United States does not need to obey the law nor respect human rights, then neither do they need to obey the law nor respect human rights. The soldiers are being charged -- although it does not appear that the military was in any hurry. Perhaps the soldiers forgot to consider that the President can use his power and position to thwart attempts to enforce the law when it comes to the abuse of Presidential authority. Once exposed, they must be offered up. One can only hope that justice will come one day to the White House.
