I'm disturbed by the unauditable, touch screen voting machines. There's really NO WAY to know if an election is honest or not. The only ones who know all the ins and outs of their operation are their manufacturers. The two largest manufacturers, Diebold and ESS, are owned by two brothers who are both Republicans and major Bush supporters and financial contributors. These are facts. commondreams.org commondreams.org As a software engineer, I know it would be EASY to program these machines to give you whatever result you wanted, and have it seem kosher. I have no idea if elections since these machines have been used have been honest, and neither does anyone else.
